Affordable Decks and Additions offer Preserve Plus ACQ© Ultrawood™ and Millennium© plastic Lumber. Produced locally and exclusively to us.

We use 5/4" premium lumber with a tight grain for a harder more durable substrate. Our tongue and groove synthetic materials are blind fastened keep nails out of site and out of harms way.
Preserve® Plus® has the environmentally advanced, arsenic- and chromium-free preservative protection of ACQ®, combined with built-in water repellent protection.

It's suited for outdoor building projects where appearance is important and protection from the effects of weathering is a priority.

It has water repellent and preservative protection that is pressure-treated deep to the heart of the wood, unlike brush-on applications that only protect the surface of the wood.

Preserve Plus provides long lasting protection against the effects of weathering that lead to cracking, cupping and splitting in your outdoor wood projects.

Millenium Lumber is extruded into a solid continuous form. This process insures maximum consistency between each piece of finished lumber and eliminates knots, chips or other imperfections. Produced from recycled high density polyethylene, Millenium Lumber combines the characteristics of conventional wood with the durability and stability of plastic.

Millennium has lasting beauty with virtually no maintenance.  No need for protective sealants or finishes, it will not split, crack or rot.  It is also fade resistant, and is not affected by termites and other insects.

The wood grained finish is available in a variety of colors that look clean and new for years to come. All furniture and accessory products are fabricated from Millennium Lumber using all stainless steel screws to assure strength and durability. The color of the lumber is throughout the entire piece and the wood grained texture adds a realistic look to the surface.

Affordable Decks & Additions gives you, the customer, the choice of six pre-designed rails or rails of your taste using only premium grade super charged ACQ Ultrawood. Customized #1 grade 4x4 posts are notched, glued, and nailed to the inner frame of your project to give it a beautiful finished look. By inner placement this also give you more stable rails because this allows more framing around the post (see detail I). Where placing them outside breaks the flow and will cause the rail to loosen in due time (see detail J). By placing the posts on the inside you only lose 1 1/2” of deck space which is minimal compared to your peace of mind.

Steps are constructed of three #1 grade super charged ACQ Ultrawood 2x12 stringers which are notched to accept stair treads to create the strongest interlocking unit possible (see detail K). Routed-in treads will separate from stringers with the first sign of shrinkage causing a potential hazard (see detail L).

Install railing posts inside of frame for a clean looking perimeter framing. Wrap perimeter framing with millennium decks. Apply all needed flashing on wood structures. Trim inside and outside of pickets for cosmetic pleasing look. Applies railing posts to exterior band with unsightly fasteners and breaking up the exterior flow. Use inlet joists which cause water and insect to penetrate existing structure. Unfinished and beveled picket ends that darken and gives a molding unfinished appearance.
42” wide steps
3 stringer system;
Cut out 12” stringers for maximum tread support giving you 12” treads for comfortable stepping. Using three stringer systems for greater strength. Having double five 4” premium grade treads fro less warping and best water displacement.		 36” wide steps
2 Stringer system with 9 1/2” step treads #1 not premium. Routing out small notches not giving maximum support. Treads shrink causing steps to break and become dangerous. Only two stringers cause bouncing and bowing in the center. Single 2x10 tread cup badly causing poor drainage and rocking steps.
